Terrena spirituale brings together artistic positions that deal in different ways with the spiritual and mythological space of our past and present. The title of the exhibition is a fictitious play on words from Italian, which in its ambiguity describes the soil as feminine because of its insatiable fertility, although it is assigned masculine in the sentence structure according to grammar. The existence of humanity is depicted here between the search for identity and its being in its historical, cultural and spiritual roots and thus shows how fragile human beings are in their self-created world of life, as the pandemic and the war on Europe's doorstep have shown. The question of why it always has to be artists who show us how we abolish ourselves and threaten our existence becomes all the more essential.
