Lucia Pizzani

Lucia Pizzani (1975, Caracas) holds degrees in Communications (Universidad Católica Andres Bello, Caracas), Conservation Biology (CERC at Columbia University, NY), and an MFA from Chelsea College of Art (London).

Her recent projects include commissions for Frieze London, the Harewood Biennial, Magasin3 Museum of Contemporary Art (Stockholm), Palazzo Bolanni in Venice, and TEA Museum (Tenerife). Her work is part of collections such as TATE, Magasin3, CPPC, and MOLAA.

Recent solo exhibitions include “Morada Vegetal” at Abra, Caracas; “Rites Seeds and Refuge” at Cecilia Brunson Projects, London; and “Manto” at Galería La Cometa, Madrid. She has also exhibited in museums and galleries worldwide, including MOCO Montpellier, Queens Museum (NY), and Fundación Marso (Mexico City).

Awards include the Arts Council England Grants for the Arts (2017), AICA Emerging Artist Award (2013), and the XII Premio Eugenio Mendoza (2013). In 2024, her first monograph was published with contributions from Nicolas Bourriaud and others. Pizzani is currently an Artist in Residence at Gasworks, London.
