Lucia Pizzani

Lucia Pizzani (*1975, Caracas, Venezuela) is based in London. She has a B.A. in visual communications from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, Caracas; a Certificate of Conservation Biology from the CERC centre Columbia University, New York; and an M.A. in Fine Art from the Chelsea College of Arts.

Her work is part of the TATE Collection, Magasin III Museum for Contemporary Art (Stockholm), Essex Collection for Art from Latin America ESCALA, and the Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros (CPPC) amongst others. 

Recent exhibitions, residencies and commissions include SEEDS for the Infinite Ecology Marathon at Serpentine Gallery (2024); the LatinX takeover at the V&A East (2024); a solo presentation at the Smoke curated section at Frieze London (2024); Healing flows, a public commission for the West Middlesex Hospital in Twickenham with CW+ (2024-2025); Cultivo y Memoria, a commissioned piece for the Harewood Biennial in Leeds (2024); Planet B: Climate Change and the New Sublime (2022), curated by Nicolas Bourriaud at Palazzo Bolanni (Venice); Peckham24 (London, 2022); Casino Luxembourg (Luxembourg, 2023); TEA Museum (Tenerife, 2022-2023); Casa Wabi and the Puerto Escondido Botanical Garden (Oaxaca, Mexico, 2021), LaunchPad Lab (Charente, France, 2020); Hacienda La Trinidad Art Centre (Caracas, 2022) and Photofusion (London, 2017)
