Ingrid Hora
Ingrid Hora (born in 1976 in Bolzano, Italy) is a visual artist who lives and works in Berlin. Through her multidisciplinary artistic production, ranging from performative action, installation, drawing to video and photography, Hora stages experiments that question socio-political conditions, challenge collectivity and investigate how democratic processes come into being.
Inspired by context-specific knowledge, locally rooted traditions and historic turning points, Ingrid Hora develops artistic interventions that establish new temporary networks by creating collective moments of togetherness. Objects, drawings, or sculptural elements are the props for collective performances often enacted in public spaces which the artist orchestrates. At the core of Ingrid Hora’s projects is the research on the human eagerness to act outside of its individual realm and the reaction of a collective when a set of common norms collapse.
