The Goldschmied & Chiari collective presents a large-scale diptych that consists of a wall work with a reflective surface and an image from a video of a performance featuring multi-coloured smoke. At oncemirror-like and photographic, the work is a treasure trove of the imagination, in which the portrait of the viewer merges with an imaginary stretch of clouds or with volcanic soot rising up from the ground. The work draws on our memories, thoughts and dreams, distancing us from our corporality and forcing us to immerse ourselves in the free and chaotic world of the imagination.
