Ester Parasková (* 1993) is a student of the studio of Intermedial Confrontation at the Academy of Arts, Architecture, and Design in Prague, Czech Republic. At first glance, Ester Parasková's artistic work impresses with its unconventional style. Her bold and trivial expression is balanced by playful color compositions. Parasková's approach is still flexible with the constant run for her own development, however, her signature has already gotten its recognizable character. The theme of the Garage called "Bad Paintings" refers to the deep forgotten memories of the early development of a young personality through family, school, and social expectations. This oblivion is being translated within the dialog between the artist and her psyche into the nonacademic forms of expressionist paintings where she reheals her inner landscape as compensation for her past. Naive, spontaneous, and so-called children paintings, many times marked as bad results of the neglected approach, are gaining the recognizable character and profound narrative explaining stories of our presents in this world.
