Contemplation is a key element in my curatorial practice, which focuses on solo and duo presentations like this one by Jörg Reissner and Peter Sandbichler at Galleria Doris Ghetta. Incidentally, this is the third of four exhibitions in the ‘Encounters’ series featuring seating arrangements – in this case works from Peter Sandbichler’s ‘Alte Schachtel’ sequence – that encourage a change of pace in the way we look at art in gallery spaces, inviting the viewer to sit down, dwell and contemplate. more

La contemplazione è elemento chiave della mia pratica curatoriale, che si concentra su mostre personali e bipersonali come questa di Jörg Reissner e Peter Sandbichler, allestita presso la Galleria Doris Ghetta. Si tratta, tra l’altro, della terza di quattro mostre della serie “Incontri” (Encounters) dedicata alla disposizione di posti a sedere, nella fattispecie opere tratte dalla sequenza "Alte Schachtel" di Peter Sandbichler, con l’obiettivo di cambiare i ritmi con i quali guardiamo l’arte negli spazi galleristici, invitando lo spettatore a sedersi, a indugiare, a contemplare. leggi

Kontemplation ist ein Schlüsselelement meiner kuratorischen Praxis, die sich auf Einzel- und Doppelausstellungen konzentriert wie jene von Jörg Reissner und Peter Sandbichler in der Galerie Doris Ghetta. Passenderweise ist dies die dritte von vier Ausstellungen der Encounters-Reihe, die eine Form von Sitzgelegenheit in der Ausstellung präsentiert. Die "Alten Schachteln" von Peter Sandbichler verändern die Wahrnehmung des Betrachters in den Galerieräumen, indem sie ihn zum Verweilen und Sich-vertiefen einladen. mehr
