In an atmosphere between the everyday and the fantastic, reminiscent of fairy tales, comic books and grotesque elements, the works of Pietro Moretti (Rome, 1996) question the ambivalence of emotions in intimate relationships, and the complexities of masculinities and of belonging. Through watercolours and oil painting, the works reflect on how the unexpressed emerges through the body, revealing lies, pains, frailties and the contradictory nature of desires.

In un’atmosfera tra il quotidiano e il fantastico che ricorda le fiabe, le favole, i fumetti ed elementi grotteschi, i lavori di Pietro Moretti (Roma, 1996) si interrogano sull’ambivalenza delle emozioni nelle relazioni intime, sul desiderio d’appartenenza e sull’identità nelle dinamiche maschili. Attraverso gli acquerelli e la pittura a olio, le opere riflettono su come l’inespresso riaffiora attraverso il corpo, rivelando bugie, dolori, fragilità e la contraddittorietà dei desideri.  

In einer Atmosphäre zwischen dem Gewöhnlichen und dem Fantastischen, die an Märchen, Comics und groteske Elemente erinnert, hinterfragen die Werke von Pietro Moretti (Rom, 1996) die Ambivalenz der Gefühle in engen Beziehungen, den Wunsch nach Zugehörigkeit und Identität in der männlichen Dynamik. Durch Aquarelle und Ölmalerei reflektieren die Werke darüber, wie das Unausgesprochene durch den Körper zum Vorschein kommt und Lügen, Schmerz, Zerbrechlichkeit und die widersprüchliche Natur des Verlangens offenbart.
