Robert Bosisio, (nato nel 1963 a Trodena, Bolzano) è un artista italiano che vive e lavora tra Trodena e Berlino. Al centro della sua ricerca si trova una riflessione sul reale e il magico, sul concreto e l'effimero, sull'esperienza spaziale e la percezione invisibile. Attraverso forme e colori che si muovono nella sfera del metafisico, la sua pittura oscilla tra la necessità di tornare costantemente al soggetto e il bisogno di straniarlo e analizzarlo. Il risultato è uno stile contemporaneo che lascia la rappresentazione in secondo piano per acquistare forza attraverso l'intensità del colore e il controllo sulla texture. Una serie di piccoli punti e pennellate colorate, che l'occhio trasforma in superfici omogenee e fenomeni cromatici, conferiscono alle sue opere autenticità e profondità, astrazione e superficie. L'intensa luminosità e l'oscurità a volte cupa sono le caratteristiche eccezionali di queste opere che rimangono delicate.

Figuren und Räume entstammen undefinierten Orten und laden uns ein, diese zu vereinnahmen. Dabei interessieren Robert Bosisio vor allem die ästhetischen Qualitäten: das Schemenhafte, die Geometrie, die Anspielungen. Durchgänge, Erscheinungen, Heraufbeschworenes, Andeutungen atmen durch die Fäden der Leinwand und durch die dargestellten Handlungen, sie beleben die Bewegungen und evozieren unangenehme Träume. Dadurch entstehen zugleich ein Bedürfnis und eine Neigung ständig auf das Subjekt zurückzukehren, um es zu vertiefen und zu entpersonifizieren, die Formen und die Farben ins Metaphysische zu erheben. Das Ergebnis ist eine moderne Malerei, in der die Darstellung sekundär ist und die eigentliche Spannung sich in der Sattheit der Farben und in der Kontrolle des Gefüges aufbaut.

At the centre of his concerns are elements such as the management of the real and the magical, the concrete and the ephemeral, spatial experience and unseen perception. His painting lies between the need to constantly return to the subject and to defamiliarize and scrutinize it, and seeks to elevate forms and colours into the sphere of the metaphysical. The result is a contemporary style that relegates representation to a secondary role and gains tension from intensity of colour and control over texture. A multitude of small dots and many-coloured brushstrokes that the eye assembles into homogenous surfaces and chromatic phenomena give his works objectivity and depth, abstraction and surface. Intense brightness and sometimes sombre darkness are the exceptional characteristics of these otherwise delicate works.
